Mohan says
Then yours is the ‘MOST’ developed surrounding in Bengaluru π
Kcalpesh says
Two of the same trees are there right in front of my balcony! They look awesome when full of yellow flowers π Nice shots!
Mohan says
Lucky you! Thanks Kcalpesh!
Pooja says
Wow! I envy you.. And I miss Bangalore all the more.. We had a similar view from my window.. And there was a dash of red Gulmohars too.. It was beautiful!
Mohan says
Oh yeah.. Gulmohars there in plenty too around.. i think the season hasn’t started for them yet.
Journomuse says
Ahhh..if it is the daffodils here, its yellow in another form there…:) Bangalore always looked pretty when there were so many of these trees especially alongside Indiranagar’s 100ft road where I used to live..Wonder if like many other parts, trees there have also been felled now…
Mohan says
Well, Indiranagar main road still has all the trees intact till this point of time. But other parts of the city are not so fortunate!
Monishikha says
Very nice pics! Often , something that looks pretty to the eye , doesn’t come out so well in a photograph–That is not the case here π
Mohan says
Thank you Monishikha!
Roshmi Sinha says
Beautiful! And why not… it is the spring season afterall!!
But wonder how long will these lush green trees last… given the rapid pace of “development”… the first and last mantra of which seems to be – “murder trees”.
They do not leave the parks even. Quite a few trees will be chopped down to make way for a “martyr’s memorial”… within a park.
I’m sure our martyrs would want our country to be secured from external and internal threats… rather than a “memorial” in their name by murdering/matyring trees.
Mohan says
Thanks Roshmi! I can’t agree more on the way we are destroying or letting someone to destroy the ecosystem we have around us. I read that story about Martyr’s Memorial… Seriously, people have to think about it on a progressive note.
Tavish says
Beautiful pictures Mohan… btw hate the heat that this season brings along with it… π
Mohan says
Thanks Tavish… yeah, it is becoming unbearable off late!
lostworld says

Geetha says
Lovely yellow flowers, Mohan…It reminds me of ‘Konna Poovu’ in Malayalam…It is a symbol of prosperity for the people of Kerala and is usually associated with ‘Vishu’, our New Year’s day…The beautiful yellow bunches of Konna Poovu are an indispensable component of ‘Vishukkani’ β the auspicious first sight ( the first thing to see ) on the new yearβs day break…!!!!
It is Vishu on the 14th of April, and here’s me wishing myself, Mohan and all of you here, a very Happy and a Prosperous Vishu…!!!! π
Mohan says
Thank you! Good to know about ‘Konna Poovu’ and the story associated with that flower. Thanks for sharing that info and your wishes. We all wish you and your family for a happy and prosperous vishu too π
Geetha says
Thanks…!!!!:)
hitesh says
