Here is the good news for all cricket lovers. Yahoo! cricket beta portal launched a couple of weeks back in its beta version. This means a lot to all those who stay glued to their office computers for live cricket score updates. Probably cricinfo has been handling all the load from netizens all over the world till date. Now Yahoo! has geared up to share that load without having to compromise on the presentation.
New Beta cricket site looks very promising to me with appealing user interface and the ease of finding all the info in one tab. Whenever there is an international cricket match in progress, tabs at the top show up an additional highlighted ‘live’ tab. If there are multiple matches in progress, user gets to access each match on individual sub-tabs. Further, one has the options to find live commentary, full score card and past few overs progress etc., all in one screen without having to click on multiple tabs for information. You may find a handful of bugs here and there as it is still in beta. Other than that, I am sure you will be a fan of this site in the long run. Live your game!

ok i had a brief glance at the sites and opened cricinfo at the same time… here is a qick one time glance obsercation…
1) yahoo cricket opened up faster than cricinfo, so that great
2) its lesser stuff on the menu tabs so gives better user experience
3) I like the ‘fan shout’ thing thats nice
now scope for improvements…
1) its updates the score a little late(compared to cricinfo)
2) there is no commentry as compared to cricinfo… which is something at least i like reading… no idea about nyone else…
all in all a great start… i am sure it has a long way to go as it is just a beta version… so thumbs up from my side! And btw nice article! 🙂

Cricinfo is blocked in my office and I was looking for an alternative. Thanks for this link to Yahoo! cricket site. Yahoo! seems to have come out of ages but still need to market products like this to make them more popular.

Yeah..This site is more colorful than cricinfo..But it seems to be lacking in 1 ball comparing to cricinfo on live matches..
