When I wrote my previous article on recession around early february this year, many of my friends had sent emails questioning what was wrong with me by then. It is hardly 10 months since that post and no one can deny the fact that economies all over the world have felt slow down. It is only the beginning… where are we heading to… how far will the markets behave bearish… these are just some of the common questions in everybody. Some of my friends have lost over 70% of their investments in last 1 year. Now the story of lay-offs is so disturbing across industry irrespective of the geographical locations. What ever the scenario may be in future ahead, one needs to prepare to face the unexpected. Having said that it is highly important to stay upbeat and to keep the positive thoughts flowing in terms of better future. At this moment, wish to share an article that I read sometime back on MSN’s Money central. This article talks about 12 ways to handle layoffs.
Frustration and depression only makes it worst, we all have already read about a story like this. Keeping aside all the issues on which you have no control, focus on the things that are well under your control as mentioned in the MSN article pointed to in this post. It is only a phase of life and as the good old saying goes… “Every cloud has a silver lining”! If you have come across a better article on how to brace up and handle bad times, feel free to share and this might help someone.
