I am traveling to Bangalore for 4 months and this series is very helpful. Thank you!
Unfortunately, I do not know how to pronounce the words in Kannada. If it is not to much trouble for you, it would be helpful to know how to pronounce the words in part one and part two.

लातॊं के भूत बातॊं से नहि मानते (proverb: Hindi)
ಜಾಣನಿಗೆ ಮಾತಿನ ಪೆಟ್ಟು “ಕೋಣನಿಗೆ ದೊಣ್ಣೆಯ ಪೆಟ್ಟು” (proverb: Kannada)
अकलमंद कॊ बातों कि मार, भैसं कॊ लातॊं कि मार (Translation of the above proverb)
But, to say “laatOn ki bhuut” there are many expressions apart from the one mentioned above
for eg:
ಕೋಣನಿಗೆ ದೊಣ್ಣೆಯ ಪೆಟ್ಟು
ಕತ್ತೆಗೆ ಲತ್ತೆಯ ಪೆಟ್ಟು etc.,
the common expression to imply
लातॊं से हि उस कि अकल ठिकाने आयॆगि
we generally use
ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒದ್ದು ಬುದ್ದಿ ಕಲಿಸು (=> kick him and teach him the lesson)
On the contrary, the above expression “laatOn ke bhuut” could also be said as
ಒದೆ ತಿಂದು ಬುದ್ದಿ ಕಲಿ’ಅವ್ರು
ಒದೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಠ ಕಲಿಯವ್ರು
Finally, summary of the whole discussion is:

There is a category of people who listen to you when told once. There is another category of people who don’t obey you unless you physically beat and force them to. In Hindi, such people are called “lAton ke bhooth”. There is an idiom in Hindi which says “lAton ke bhooth lAton se mAnte hain, bAton se nahin” which means that such people listen only to kicks and not words. What is the Kannada equivalent?
