These pictures were clicked during a recent trip to my native place. Farming activities are at their best at this time of the year, thanks to good monsoon rains this year. I haven’t seen the agricultural fields with so much greenery in the past decade or so. Hope the rain gods bless our farmers with bumper yields every year like this. As mentioned before, another post is in the draft about Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations… Stay tuned for that!

Hello Sir, Nice to see ur village farming. Now a day seeing such timing farming I feel very much good. Now day what the rain do u all known, we people wait wait wait but there is no rain, when the farmer didn’t need that time the sever rain can destroied there whole hervest. It happen all time in our orissa. There no fault of God or nature because we people which way destroed the nature the nature so there anger that way. When we people can under stand this?

Nice photos Mohan; Good to know through your pics that decent amount of water has been available this season for crops (sugarcane, groundnut, paddy). Hope the tanks/reservoirs also get abundant water to last till the next season. I envy you for the opportunity you got to visit the fields/farms and share the simple village/countryside life again. π

Absolutely!!! Well, this is my native place, Chittoor. From this place the world famous Tirupati is about 50kms. It looks green only till Jan…. after that all dried up soil π
