Here comes the 2nd part of Learn Kannada series.

Adu That Adu nanna mane (that is my house)
Yaake Why Neenu yaake allige hode? (why did you go there?)
Yenu What Idu yenu? (What is this?)
Houdu Yes Houdu, adu nanage beku. (Yes, I need it)
Alla Not Nanna hesaru ABC alla. (My name is not ABC)
Beku Want Nanage pencil beku. (I want pencil)
Beda Do not want Nanage idli beda. (I do not want Idli)
Hogu / Hogi Go / wrp Neenu hogu / Neevu hogi. (You go)
Hoda / Hodaru (he) Went / wrp Avanu hoda / Avaru hodaru. (He went)
HodaLu / Hodaru (she) Went AvaLu hodaLu/ Avaru hodaru. (She went)
Banda / Bandaru (he) Came Avanu banda / Avaru bandaru. (He came)
BandaLu / Bandaru (she) Came Avalu bandalu / Avaru bandaru. (She came)
Alli There Alli pustaka ide. (Book is there)
Illi Here Illi nodu (See here)
Baa / Banni Come Bega baa. (Come fast)
Thago / Thagolli Take Pen thago (Take the pen)
KeLu / keLi Listen / wrp Nanna maathu kelu (Listen to me)
HeLu / HeLi Tell Nanage kathe helu (Tell me a story)
OLage Inside Olage yenu ide? (What is inside?)

i learnt a few words of kannada. isn’t YES supposed to be ‘howdu’ and NO – ‘ illa’?

That is nice to know. Well, it depends on the context. You are right for YES. But ‘Illa’ means ‘it is not present’

cos i have studied n bangalore fr a while,since i was into an intrnatnl college,v din have much off kannadigas,but den i tried of my own to speak kannada weneva i go out

please lemme knw gud kannada muvies,so that i can get it , watch and explore kannada.:)in dis point of life being in United Arab Emirates,i miss bangalore just lik kerala,so i just kp on trying to get close to kannada.wish i speak kannada just lik all kannadigas u knw:(

for picking up kannada languate, you don’t need to watch movies alone.. I am sure, there are many kannada TV channels being aired there in UAE. Watch them and start learning :)

i knw,i watch dat too.but u knw muvies normlly use the slangs which common people talk wereas tv cahnnels try to be very formal in talks ,right
